I, General Taylor, agree with you on your beliefs about Polk and slavery should be up to the state. We both seem to believe that Polk was a better candidate than you were. Slavery should not be up to the government because it gives them too much power. We, however, disagreed on the Mexican war and the state of Texas. You thought it was unlawful and it wasn't right. We thought it was necessary for the U.S. safety. I also contradict what you said about Texas. Texas has benefits as a state and is very important to the United States. We need to expand, and what better way to get closer to that goal than to acquire the huge land of Texas. Since I am a nice guy, I will add you as a facebook friend because I intend to look farther than our political views.
