By pvgorp    In Science & Hi-Tech    2 years ago ABSTRACT Due to license restrictions and installation issues, it is often not feasible to experiment with software without making substantial investments. Especially in the case of modeling tools, it turns out that even free software is often too costly (i.e., time-consuming) to be installed for evaluating the quality of a research contribution. After organizing two tool contests related to model transformation, we have constructed (and started to use) SHARE, a system for sharing practically any type of case study solution to reviewers and workshop participants that have very limited time available. The system integrates virtualization and web technologies to provide online access to tool demos. The access control and messaging features enable that the system is adopted by other workshop and conference organizers that wish to complement the conventional paper reviewing process. In this talk, I will show the IS business process modeling researchers how to access existing SHARE demos (including a demo of PROM) and how to share IS research software for online evaluation. I will also invite the cluster members for a research collaboration in this context. By pvgorp    In Science & Hi-Tech    3 years ago In Model Driven Engineering, one aims to model software at various levels of abstraction, from different viewpoints, using appropriate syntactical constructs. Since this inherently leads to information that is conceptually duplicated across different models, one needs an efficient way to (i) automatically translate models to other formalisms, (ii) automate restructurings of models, and (iii) perform other types of transformations. In this talk, Pieter Van Gorp will explain how particular graph transformation language constructs facilitate the definition of automatic model transformations. A set of transformations of process models will serve as a running example. The examples are based on AToM3 (meta-case and graph grammars) and MoTMoT (controlled graph transformation, MOF, UML) and should open a dialogue about PROM.
