Thank you for visiting our website. This instructional webinar will take you through the step-by-step process of how to complete your Certification Renewal using the Restart portal.
When you first visit the Restart website, you will notice the “Member Login” area at the top of the page. Click here to log into the portal using your Username and Password that was provided in your “Welcome to Restart” email. Once you have entered your information, click “Log in”. You will now be logged in to your account information. If you have been notified that it is time to renew you can start the Certification Renewal process.
If this is the first time you are logging in to the portal you will be prompted to change your password to ensure that it is secure and private. First, enter your old password, the one that was provided to you by the Foundation. Next, enter a new password of your choice, and finally, confirm your new password. Click on “Submit” to proceed to the website. Keep in mind, you will only be prompted to this screen upon your very first visit to the login area. The password you create will be the one you use every time you visit the website and will replace the one given to you by the Foundation.
Once you have created your new password, you will be logged in and prompted to the “Portal Welcome Page.” Here, you will also notice the Certification Renewal button at the top right. Click on this button to begin the Renewal process.
You will now be taken to your Registration Profile where you will see a list of your Certifications in chronological order. The ones that require a renewal will have a “Renew” button next to them. Simply click on the button that corresponds to the certification you must renew to start the Renewal process. Remember, you must Renew each certification separately.
Step one (1), the “Contact” page, is where all of your personal information is securely stored. Here, you may update and edit your information. Verify your name, address, country, occupation, organization, and telephone and fax numbers. Also, tell us the area in which you reside by selecting the appropriate region from our pick list. Importantly, this is where you can modify your email. Remember, the wizard will not let you move on to the next step unless you have completed mandatory fields, marked by an asterisk. Finally, never skip a beat—choose to opt in one (1), or all, of our communications for up-to-date information and news. Once you’ve reviewed your Account, click NEXT to move to step two (2).
Step two (2) lets you view your Certification Details and Registration Status on the “Registration Profile”. Here you will find important Instructor Details such as, completion levels, last date trained, monitoring status, and guideline update. You will also be able to check your last registration date and registration expiry date. To update any of this information, please contact resuscitation@hsf.on.ca, by simply clicking here. Click NEXT once you’re ready to move on. Or, choose to go back to verify your account details.
Next, the “Monitor” page currently allows new instructors to view when they still require to be monitored. As well, this is the area where you must indicate whether or not you have completed the renewal requirements. If you have, check yes and move to the next step. However, if you have not, you must click no and unfortunately you will not be able move forward with the renewal process at this time. Once again, if you have any questions or concerns, contact resuscitation@hsf.on.ca.
Lastly are the “Payment” options. Here, you can conveniently make a payment to complete your renewal. Easily pay online using your credit card. You will be required to provide your contact information as well as your credit card information. Your online transaction is safe, secure and convenient using “Secure Socket Layers” encryption technology. However, if you are unable to pay by credit card, select the cheque option for details on how to mail your cheque to the Foundation. You will receive notification that your payment is being processed. In the meantime, check the status of your payment under the “Payment History” area. Here you will be able to view the type, date, amount and status of your payment.
Finally, visit the “Course Materials” area. Here, you will find important course training materials right at your fingertips. With just a click of your mouse, you can now easily access ACLS Exams, ACLS Scenarios, BLS Exams, PALS Exams, and other training Forms. Note that once your renewal is complete, you may logout from this portal.
Remember, once you have completed the Renewal process you can visit the Restart website at any time and take the same steps for any upcoming Certification Renewals.
