Julius Mordecai Pincas, known as Pascin, Jules Pascin, was a Bulgarian painter. He was born in Vidin, Bulgaria to a Spanish-Sephardic Jewish father and a Serbian-Italian mother. He married Hermine David also a painter. As a young student he studied in Vienna and Munich. During WW1 he lived in the United States, but he spent most of his life in France.
