Louis Meehan (Hamilton-Niagara location) My name is Louis Meehan and throughout my four-year degree at Brock University I worked for Spring Masters Niagara. I first heard about the opportunity from a friend who saw a recruiting poster at a bus stop. My friend told me the advertisement said I could make anywhere from $100-$500 a day.

At first I was very skeptical about even going to the job fair. I had heard of horror stories from friends about similar opportunities. However, summer was coming around and I needed to make some money so I gave it a shot. After the job fair I was excited about the opportunity and about how much I could make that summer.

Each summer I was able to make enough to cover all my experiences and bought a car by the end of my second year. I ended up debt-free when I graduated. I enjoyed my time working at Spring Masters and made a lot of friends. I'm now working as their sales manager for the up-coming season.

Tanya Baluschak (Hamilton Location) My name is Tanya Baluschak, I am currently a student at McMaster University. Last summer I was looking for a great paying summer job to cover tuition and rent costs. Right away the Spring Masters bus stop ads caught my eye. Make $100-$500 in a day sounded great to me. The first job fair I attended was very informative about every detail pertaining to the job.

They told us up-front that it was door-to-door sales, that we would be paid commission based on our individual sales, that we start very early and end pretty late in the day and they explained to us exactly how $500 or even more was very attainable in simply one day of work

The job fair was very complex going over all the details of the job so every single person knew exactly what they were getting into. At the end of the job fair before anyone filled out an application form the owner flat out said "If you feel this job is not what you expected or if you feel this job is too competitive, please do not apply!"  It was not mandatory to apply at the end of the information session. As I filled out my application I knew that this job would be intense, competitive, long days and that my pay would vary from day to day.

My first day at work I made $110. My pay continuously increased each day I worked after that because of the daily training sessions and because each day I became more and more experienced. No job is easy on your first day - it only gets easier after a few days. I saw some workers give up completely after just one day, which is honestly immature. Maybe those people should have listened to the owner when he said it was okay to not apply because this type of job is not for everyone.  Spring Masters is not for quitters.

A couple of weeks later I was hired as an office administrator at Spring Masters Canada. This company has compensated me with pay based on how hard I work. I worked extremely hard all summer, just as any other poor student trying to afford university should, and got paid great money due to my consistent efforts and strong work ethic.

The great thing about this job is, for once, you have the opportunity to be paid based on what you are worth and how hard you try. Have you had a part-time job where you and another person are getting paid the same wage and clearly you work much harder than them but you are not getting paid for what you are worth?  Spring Masters is designed to give hard workers the pay they deserve.

After working for this company for an entire year I have recently been promoted to a manager position within the company. I am nothing but excited for this upcoming season!  Spring Masters has helped me pay my tuition, rent and the other costs students should not have to worry about. Thanks to Spring Masters my work ethic has increased tremendously, my experiences have taught me a lot about the business world and best of all I am no longer worried about money and have plenty of time to study for my degree!

Byron Woods (Hamilton location) I started at Spring Masters Canada in the Spring of '07. I showed up my first day with two bus tickets to my name, was sleeping on a friend's couch, drinking regularly and partying quite a bit. I can honestly say I had no really direction in my life.

I don't know what I expected out of Spring Masters - the flyer I saw on the bus-stop said make between $100 to $500 daily and I thought to myself "Wow I'd like to make a hundred dollars today". Well that first day I didn't make a hundred dollars - I made $400.  The second day I made $460, the third I made $520 and I thought to myself "Wow here is something I'm good at...here is something I can do".

Josh, my manager at the time, noticed my big numbers and took me aside and we talked. He asked me about myself and what kind of goals I had for the future. As I said earlier, I was living day-to-day with no plans whatsoever. Well after the talk, Josh found out that I had no place to live and suggested that I move in with him, which I did.

Under his wing I continued to excel at Spring Masters winning the monthly sales champ bonus and more importantly started developing goals for the future. I also quit partying and really started focusing on health. I started working out, eating right and things like that. Through the success that I think Josh saw in me, we decided to bring a goal stategy to all the workers at Spring Masters.

Everyday we encouraged the crew to come up and write their daily goals on the board. The really nice thing that started to happen was that the guys and girls that came up and wrote their goals down started to hit them and would almost always be the ones who took home bonuses and high daily profits.

Through the skills I learned at Spring Masters and the confidence I gained I have made great changes in my life. I now own my own truck, have a nice savings in the bank, have my own apartment, met my beautiful girlfriend and talk with and am in consistent contact with my family.

(Before Spring Masters I had had no contact with them for 10 years)  I am also healthy and happier than I have ever been in my life. Some of the things that I have gained through Spring Masters are integrity, a strong work ethic, people skills and perseverence. Today I am still at Spring Masters as a route manager and I'm quite happy. I can only hope that I will be able to make a difference in someone's life, like was done for me.
