Buczkowice-climate, location, natural conditions, fauna and flora.

Buczkowice is in the south of Poland, the geographical location is: 49° 43' N 19° 04' E. In Buczkowice there are about 4 thousand people. People live in detached houses or in cottages because there aren't any blocks of flats here. We also have a lot of fields.

Buczkowice is set in a temperate climatic zone. We have snowy and frosty winters and hot and sunny summers. The temperature in winter is about -5 degrees, but it can be even -15 degrees. However, in summer it is about 20-30 degrees so it's quite warm :-)

FAUNA In Buczkowice there are some wild animals, like hares, deer or trouts in the river Żylica. Sometimes you can see a viper or a fox. In Buczkowice there live a lot of birds, too!! :)

Flora In Buczkowice there are some kinds of trees like spruces, firs or apple trees ;-) , some kinds of mushrooms, like boletuses and a lot of flowers. The most popular of them are: dandelions, roses or daisies. In our gardens we often grow strawberries, raspberries or wild strawberries. We've got a lot of wild flowers on fields. :)
