Autumn is a season of change. The first day of autumn is September 22 or 23. Autumn lasts 50 - 60 days and is characterized by temperatures ranging between 5 - 15C, and little cloud cover. In Buczkowice, people, plants and animals get ready for winter. In this time of year there are heavy rain. Some of the roads are covered with terrible mud. During the autumn, people usually stay at home. But when the weather improves, we are forced to tidy our gardens. We have to rake the leaves and cover some plants to protect them from freezing and dying. We often dry some of the leaves we gather and we make bouquets of them. Sometimes it happens that the teachers are asking us to do a homework assignment with the album of leaves. We stick them to a card, and ascribe them to a tree which we have gathered. Winter is the season between autumn and spring. The first day of winter is December 21 or 22. Winter is the coldest season of the year.
