John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She is cared for in John's hospital and is healing but continues to cry and moan. The nurses say John has a wonderful calming effect with her. He has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept. She continues to heal.

Heavenly Father, we humbly ask that you watch over our soldiers, sailors and airmen and protect them from thy enemy. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace. Where there is need, I ask You to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, and journeys. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
