Transformation Through Worship Principal 2 February 7, 2010

Slide 2

What are we looking at? Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Heb 12:1-2… let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. NKJV

Ps 24:3,6 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart …NKJV

Slide 4

The first principal of living a transformed life is Thankfulness and gratefulness.

Slide 5

How do we begin? We just do it. We thank Him until we mean it; Until we have the revelation of what the Father has in store for us.

Slide 6

Transformed Life Victim to victor Entitlement to servant Selfish to giving Judgment to love and compassion Complaining to grateful Prov 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. NKJV Rom 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. NLT

Slide 7

Ps 100:4-5 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. NLT

Slide 8

Renewed Mind Rom 10:10 … it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT “God want change your mind and you can’t change your heart. But if you will change your mind, God will change your heart.”

Principal 2 Praise the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!

Slide 10

Ps 149:1-7 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of His loyal servants. 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the people of Zion exult (be joyful) in their King. 3 Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and harp. 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He crowns the humble with victory. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud as they prostrate themselves. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the heathen, binding their kings with chains, putting their nobles in irons, carrying out the judgment decreed against them – this is glory for all the saints.

Slide 11

It is important that we praise God together Praise and worship is the most important part of the morning assembly.

Slide 12

Living a life of Praise When we live our life out of praise, our life becomes a weapon in the Hand of God, a two edged sword. This sword brings death to the enemy and life to the people Christ died for.

Slide 13

High praise is when our actions and our words line up. It is that time when heart is so filled with the presence of God that words cannot be uttered. It is those times when we have crossed beyond the flesh and our spirit is in unison with the Holy Spirit and praise is flowing out.

Slide 14

Perfect Praise Ps 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength …NKJV Matt 21:15-16 …the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant 16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying? "And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?" NKJV
