Anselmo Ralph was born in 1981 in Luanda, Angola and attended high school there. Then he immigrated to New York to finish his studies where he graduated in accounting in the Community College of the Manhattan borough of New York. In the 1990s, Anselmo lived some years in Madrid (Spain), and it was there where he discovered his passion for music and became a great admirer of the most popular Dominican's singer called Juan Luis Guerra. This had an impact and a major influence on Anselm's future career as a musician.
After belonging to a Latin rock'n‘roll band in New York, Anselmo began making his projects as a solo artist. In January 2006 he released his first album 'Love Stories' Produced by Good Sound Records, owned by the artist. This album is dominated by the R & B music genre. In 2006 he was nominated for Best African Artist, at the gala of the MTV Europe Music Awards 2006 in November in Copenhagen, Denmark.
