We are the children of the Earth.

Our flesh and blood is the Earth;

The Earth is our flesh and blood.

Our behavior is causing big trouble

for the family of Earth.

Listen! THE EARTH IS CALLING! Description

The Earth has a dangerous fever,

Its lungs and blood are full of poisons,

Its skin is torn and slashed and burned.

Many in the family have already died,

And all the rest are in mortal danger.

LISTEN! THE EARTH IS CALLING! Description

The Earth is crying out to us.

calling us to accept our responsibility --

calling us to love and care for the Earth

and for the whole family of earth creatures.

HAVE WE HEARD THE CALL?

LISTEN! THE EARTH IS CALLING! Description

Most of us have not heard it yet.

We have to search for it in our own experience --

in our past experiences of God’s call,

in our present experiences of enjoying the earth’s care,

in our dreams for a future for ourselves and those we love.

LISTEN! THE EARTH IS CALLING! Description

God loves the Earth.

Will we?

Troubled times are ahead,

But the Earth will guide us.

If only we will listen! Description
