…and now in 2010 and beyond Over to Gideon Williams’s Prezi Presentation

Summary: We presented recently at a Moodle Conference in Oxford to other Moodle users. Our theme was ‘Where now?’ We had developed our Moodle site over 7 years and were now at somewhat of a cross-roads deciding how we could make our Moodle site much more effective and start to plan it such that assessment materials could be added and valid, useful student data could be retrieved. We are looking at student-centric resources such as Mahara e-portfolios and Independent Learning Plans from ULCC that allow Students to set their own targets and start to promote themselves to further education establishments by publishing excellent work. My Snapshot presentation was followed by a Prezi presentation by my colleague Gideon Williams. Apologies for adding my video joke halfway through. I must win the award for ‘most tenuous link to e-learning’, but it happens to be my favourite joke at the moment and I also thought how adding a video starter to any lesson adds interest and helps Students focus their minds, especially if it’s funny, spoken in a funny accent or you’re in fancy-dress!Anywhoo..Please feel free to look at our Moodle site http:/moodle.perins.net and contact Helen Bound at mailto:bound@perins.hants.sch.uk for further help and assistance.
