A cause is why something happens. An effect or result is what happens. Cause Effect
When you read, sometimes clue words such as because and since signal a cause and effect relationship.
Examples: Jose grabbed his baseball and glove because he wanted to play baseball. In this sentence, the word because is the signal for a cause. What caused Joe to grab his ball and glove?
