About Us Anthony is the third generation of the Lanza family who work for funeral and cremation service at Colonial Funeral Homes. Upon earning his director's license in 1967, Anthony and his life-long business partner, Lewis Rovegno, began in earnest to build on the foundation of work his parents had done. Together they have expanded the firm to include funeral homes in all five boroughs of New York City. We understand how difficult it is to lose a loved one. Our compassionate and caring team work hard each and every day to make sure that the members of our community and beyond are taken care of during such a difficult time. For advice on what to do when a loved one is dying, making funeral arrangements, pre-arranging your own funeral, or anything else, please feel free to contact us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Pre-Arranging Funeral There are many benefits to end-of-life planning. Here are some reasons why you should consider making your funeral arrangements ahead of time: It means there will be fewer opportunities for argument and indecision about your funeral arrangements among family members after you're gone. Your survivors will never have to worry about doing the wrong thing when finalizing your funeral arrangements. You will have told them exactly what you want. No mistakes and no oversights. After you're gone, everything will be done your way. You have peace-of-mind now knowing that we will follow through with your wishes. After your death, no one can make any decisions you wouldn't want. Funeral pre-planning is the responsible thing to do. It removes the burden from family members. You can make complex decisions ahead of time when you have the time to think things through.
