Their ceviche is out of this world, their pisco sours perfected, and incredible service. *No reservations Minibar: One of the icons of Jose Avillez’s (Only 2 Michelin-Star chef in Portugal) incredible portfolio of restaurants is his Minibar. Dining with a twist, these small plates are never what you think it will be and the play on theatre is just lovely. Be sure to get the El Bulli exploding olives, the tuna cones, and at least once desert. Timeout Market: All roads seem to meet in this market of over 25 restaurants to choose from. You can try dishes from multiple Portuguese chefs, sample a wide range of food, or just come in for a drink and charcuterie. This place is packed, and it’s a must see. 1300 Taberna: Experience Lisbon’s up and coming scene at LxFactory where there are many shops and restaurants. 1300 Taberna is one of my favorite options, with good Mediterranean food in an eclectic space. Pasteis de Belem: I put this in here, as you’ll these pastries all over town, but truly the best are found in Belem. From a recipe only known by two people at a time, this Monastery-originated insitution for Pasteis de Nata is otherworldy. Worth the cue, I get at least two of these warm egg pastries with an espresso.

Graca 77: You’ll be hard pressed to find a purely vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon, but with the opening of this gem, there’s a great option with good food. Pharmacia: A fun restaurant created on the theme of a Pharmacy, has an incredible menu and a great bar. O Asiatico: From the makers of A Cevicheria, this place on Asian-fusion food has inventive dishes with bold flavors, all served in a beautiful space. Mez Cais LX: Spanish-inspired tapas, who also serve churros! Nannarella: Come here for my favorite gelato in town.

Fabrica Coffee: One of the original coffee shops, their espresso is really well done. Hello, Kristof: My personal favorite coffee in the city, their pour is really smooth. Dear Breakfast: If you’re looking for fresh juices and a solid breakfast, this trendy spot is always bustling and super good. Wish Slow Coffee House: With two locations, this playful concept store + coffee shop is solid.
