NYUCC - HISTORY The New York Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce (NYUCC) was founded in May 2010 by a group of business leaders interested in expanding commerce between Uruguay and the United States. It has been officially incorporated since August 2010 and it operates through its officers, its Board of Directors and Advisory Council. The organization is officially incorporated in the State of New York and is registered with the Internal Revenue Service. The NYUCC consists of a group of businesses and individuals. As it began receiving greater recognition and support from the business communities both in the U.S. and in Uruguay, the Chamber began expanding its membership to include a wide-array of businesses, professionals and non-profit entities, all ranging in size, revenue, and sector. The NYUCC is an independent, not-for-profit business organization. It is funded by its member companies and its own revenue generating programs.
