Biodiversity is the equilibrium reached when the following major factors come into balance. Appropriate habitat Available food Predators Water Quality and Pollution Presence of species at location or adjoining area Bio-Diversity Corridor - Gardiners Creek Flora, Fauna and Aquatic life

Slide 9	Markham Mutts Predators – Foxes Foxes in Boroondara Did you know that there are as many as 14 foxes per square kilometre in parts of Boroondara? Our river and creek environments, hollow logs, rock piles and even under houses, sheds, or large blackberry or weed patches make ideal habitats for foxes. But in an urban environment like Boroondara’s, traditional methods of fox control such as shooting, poisoning and trapping are not appropriate. What are the best ways of controlling foxes in our City?
