Conclusion School culture also plays an important role in the success for our students. It is important that all cultures in our diverse school system feel welcomed and are made to feel that achievement is a reachable goal. School administrators and staff are responsible for making students feel safe and free from prejudice and bullying. Administrators must also be aware of the role that race and culture plays on academics. With the dedication of administrators and staff, the the proper professional development and training, and a personal commitment to change, Cobb County can close the achievement gaps.
