Glogster is a free online tool to create digital posters. The digital posters allow individuals to express their moods, feelings, and ideas. Glogster can be used as a simple poster as well as a tool to teach a whole lesson plan. Glogster is a creative attention-grabbing tool that will 99% of the time leave you with an accomplished goal. What is Glogster? Visual Journal Entry The above Glogster shows how students can complete a visual journal entry. The objective was: Complete a visual journal entry using a minimum of 5 pictures and maximum 4 text boxes. The students were allowed to use personal pictures or pictures from the Internet. They were graded on creativity, use of Glogster tools, and their visual story. Digital Literacy Lesson The Glogster to the right is used to introduce the students to the novel “The Scarlet Letter”. This particular digital poster has the main characters names and images displayed, major events and links to assessments and online games. The glogster has movie clips link that shows important parts of “The Scarlet Letter”. Measurement Lesson The glogster below is used to introduce units of measurement. Students are shown how measurement is used throughout their everyday life. The images show how important measurement tools and hiow these tools are used by children and adults alike.
