Slide 1

What is worst?

To wake up at quarter to seven to be in the gym at eight o clock...

... Or to look at yourself in the mirror ?

To do fifteen series of abdominals, twenty of gluteus and an hour of bicycle…

... Or to realize that all your clothes don’t fit you?

Slide 2

To feel pain every time you move…

To dream of a plate of pasta…

….. Or to feel a horrible guilt every time you open your mouth?

… Or to dream of a lipo?

What is worst?

Slide 3

Do you think that being fat is the same as being ugly?

Take a look at this:

Slide 16

There is nothing worst than living prisoner of a distorted image of ourselves. Most of the time, such slavery sadly ends in death. The anorexia nervosa and bulimia are just an inner concentration camp.

What is worst?

Slide 17

According to specialists, people (generally girls) with eating disorders, look at themselves at the mirror and think they are fat even when they are slim.

Slide 19

We all know that cultural rules have determinated slimness as a synonim of social success. Many young people fight to get the “ideal body¨ motivated by models, artists or advertisements. Many of them trully believe that “the world is ruled by thin people”. Others, whose natural weight exceeds the slim society standard, become depressed and feel losers and devaluated.  “Being skinny guarantees social success " or “If I’m skinny, everything will be easier", that’s what everybody believes and makes people concentrate all their efforts on a “magic diet”.
The Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia are always a result of a diet. The social preassure is so strong that there’s no meeting in which people don’t talk about weight, or “the pound they want to lose" or even “the latest diets”.
People in general are worried about the figure. The worship at the body is the reason why the illness starts and expands.
One of each twenty-five Argentinian young people suffer from Bulimia or Anorexia nervosa. It is important to be conscious about what this percentage shows, and try to detect what happens around us, in our family, at school, what happens to our children and to our children’s friends.
