Meet the children of Bangladesh. In many ways, they are just like you! They love to play, laugh, and have fun with their friends and families.

Bangladesh is a beautiful country, with many large rivers. The country is full of places to swim, fish, or sail boats.

To reach Bangladesh from America, you must travel a long way. The entire country is smaller than many states in the U.S.!

Bangladesh is a country filled with children of all ages. But life can be hard for many of these kids.

The cities of Bangladesh are full of homes that are fragile and dangerous. Just one big storm can destroy the walls of these buildings.

Living in the countryside is also hard for many children in Bangladesh. Their bathrooms are uncomfortable and the water is dirty and unsafe to use or drink.

Another problem for the people of Bangladesh occurs when heavy rains or storms come. Flooding can destroy farms and homes.

Many children in Bangladesh do not have enough to eat. Many children cannot go to school, because they have to earn money instead.

When families do not have enough money, children must find things to eat or sell from wherever they can, even from trash dumps. Click on the link below to see a scene from a Bangladesh trash dump. Does God care for the children in Bangladesh? Why must their lives be so hard? And how can we help them?

The Bible says, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.” God does love the whole world, and he especially cares for children who are poor, hungry, and sad.

The good news is that God is already hard at work in Bangladesh. Many helpers are there, serving and teaching the children.

Others are working to rebuild homes damaged by floods and feeding those who are without food.

And God also asks us to help those who are in need.

Talk with your parents about whether your family could give money to a group that helps Bangladeshi children.

You can pray: “God, help the people of Bangladesh. Provide them with food, water, and shelter. Give the children the chance to go to school. Help them when the storms and floods come. And send more people to serve and love those in Bangladesh. Amen.”

And you can ask God to one day send you! You can show the Bangladeshi children how much God loves them by sharing his love with them yourself.

For God loves each and every child in Bangladesh...just as he loves you.
