Read Carefully Keep your questions in mind Concentrate on the big themes Decide which details are important Mark one or two key sentences per paragraph
Summarize Explain the theme in your own words. See if you explain the purpose of each section, diagram and exhibit. Answer the questions you had in mind.
Create Links Have you read about similar themes? Where? In which context? Are there any relevant theories or frameworks to apply? Where else have you seen similar problems? What was done there?
