The Event GUITAR SHOW – Numerous stands with music related items to try and to buy BATTLE OF THE BANDS – The Great Escape Artists, Mutz Nutz and IndigoChild battle it out to win during the afternoon – the winning band gains the evening support slot CHARITY AUCTION – This will be held in the evening and will be for music related items, some of which will be signed DEDICATION WALL – This will be where for a small fee you can post your thoughts and comments to your loved ones that are unwell or are no longer with us SPIREFEST RAFFLE – The tickets for this will be sold up to and on the day of the event and will be drawn on the evening EVENING SHOW – The headline act of the day is Chantel McGregor and her band playing what is sure to be an awesome set of rock and blues music supported by the winning band from the afternoon

Battle of the bands How will it work Playing order for bands will be pre selected – short straw technique Bands will each have a 45 minute slot with a setlist of their own choice Voting will be in the form of a clearly identified band bucket to collect cash Bands are able to vote for themselves if they want to “splash the cash” A member of the Spirefest team will walk around with the bucket to collect as much cash as they can during the performance. As the bands performance finishes the collection bucket will be returned to the event organisers table. The winning band will be the one that has collected the most money by the time the third band has finished their set. The winning band will be the opening/support band for the evening

INDIGOCHILD are an energetic young rock band from Stamford, Lincolnshire that perform a range of covers and also much of their 0wn written material. In fact they have just finished recording their debut album which will hopefully be available and on sale at Spirefest

THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTISTS from Sheffield are a high energy rock band with many influences from the classic, prog rock and pop arena. They play mostly their own material and are a highly rated and respected band from the area. "Powerful, melodic rock, with excellent guitar playing and delightful vocals!“ Classic Rock Society "Supertight boisterous 70s rifferama!" Musician

MUTZNUTZ are a five piece rock covers band that originate and play many of their gigs in the Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area. They have many years of experience between them and ensure that the audience enjoys their performances as much as they do.

Chantel McGregor Band Realising at an early age that if you picked up a guitar you got attention, especially from her dad whose guitar it usually was, it was inevitable that she would get one of her own. So at the ripe old age of three, she got her first guitar, a half size acoustic. At seven she started lessons but soon noticed that not only did the electric guitars have a smaller neck, making them ideal for little hands, but they could also make a lot more noise. After more lessons and a lot more noise, and at the grand old age of eight she became the youngest person in the country to pass a Rockschool grade. Now qualified at Grade Eight, the wrong “A” Levels required for a music degree course meant enrolling at the world renowned Leeds College of Music for a Btec in Popular Music where she became the first student in the college’s history to achieve a 100% pass mark, 18 distinctions. Progressing onto the degree course she became the holder of the prize for outstanding musicianship for 2006/7 on the way to achieving a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music in July 2009 and at the same time the award for guitar. This has lead to the formation of the rock & blues trio, the Chantel McGregor Band and the rest is history having performed at numerous festivals and even on Radio 2 recorded at Maida Vale.
