Why should Trainers Talk Less?
Learning requires active participation. Learners cannot participate while trainers pontificate.
After 4 minutes of passive listening, participants begin daydreaming and having fantasies.
The brain needs a change of pace every 20 minutes.
When participants discover something on their own (instead of passively listening), they are more likely to recall and apply their discovery.
When participants work hard and learn something, they take ownership of what they learned.
