Vintage Bus I went into my workshop to cut out the sides of the bus and it was like this SO I PACKED IT IN UNTIL SPRINGTIME!
Vintage Bus It’s now springtime and the penguins have flown away! Two pieces of plywood are taped together and the cutting out on the scrollsaw is complete
Reinforcing chassis members are from 2” x 1”, they have been cut to shape and glued on to the two sides of the bus. Holes for the axles have been drilled through the sides and chassis. Vintage Bus
Vintage Bus This is a test fit of the various panels that have been cut out. No glue is used at this stage – it is being held together by 5/8” panel pins. The floor panel and passenger entrance have been cut out.
Vintage Bus The staircase is built from blocks of wood that have been glued together then cut to shape. Two separate flights of stairs are made to achieve the 90o turn.
The upper deck floor is now test fitted along with the driver cab roof and upper deck front panel. Vintage Bus
