However, this Breath abides in the hearts of all creation. It is one and the same in all forms of manifestation, and all that it touches is sacred. He who loves God in this way and loves all for God reverencing all forms of life discovers that all creation – the sun, the moon, the stars, the brooks, the oceans, the animals – are always ready to serve him.” Sadhu T. L. Vaswani

“For me not to love birds and animals would be not to love God. For his children are birds and animals, no less than human beings.” Sadhu Vaswani Image: free-best-wallpaper.com
“All that is, is a vesture of the Lord! The One is become that All! This is what makes all life sacred! He who has this vision – the vision of the sacredness of all Life, the vision of the One-in-all – He becomes a helper of all beings, a servant of all life! He harms no one, hurts no one, injures no one!” Dada J. P. Vaswani Dada J. P. Vaswani Sadhu Vaswani
I intercede in favor of all animals and birds. I humbly request you all to help and protect them from the cruelties committed in the name of science and research and in the name of fashion. These dumb defenseless creatures have never done us any harm. They don´t have the necessary strength to resist us. They are victims of our tyranny and cruelty. Who will come to their aid? Mahatma Gandhi
“When we are conscious that we are natural beings, we may listen to the song of the birds and understand what they say about the manifesting wisdom of the Sun, about the benevolence of the rains, and of the vast nature of the universe. We may read it in the eyes of the animals when they ask us for a caress and a kind word. When we are conscious of the natural state, we feel that we are the sames as the rivers, oceans, flowers and birds: vast, whole like the universe, and one with the Divine Being.” Sri Maha Krishna Swami
“When wisdom came to me, I resolved to defend the weak and to all living things I gave compassion of my heart.” Buddha
“We should see God in animals and even in beasts for he who doesn’t love animals, doesn’t love God.” Sadhu T. L. Vaswani Image: FreeAnimalsWallpapers.com
“What connection can meat eating have with World Peace? Meat eating and World Peace appear to be poles apart. Actually the two are interlinked. So long as animals and birds are slain to provide food for man, so long we will not see peace on the face of this Earth. If man kills an animal for food, he will not hesitate in killing a fellow man whom he considers as his enemy. The root cause of world wars is irreverence for life.” Dada J. P. Vaswani Dada J. P. Vaswani
“Nonviolence (ahimsa) does not take place mechanically. It is the highest quality of heart and it is acquired by practice. To attain natural state of nonviolence, rigorous training is required. We reach the perfect state when the mind, body and words consummate their coordination. Whole problem evolve into one solution if we decide make law of truth and nonviolence law of Life .” Mahatma Gandhi
“Is not compassion the Ganga which gently flows on pouring the healing water on one’s heart that which the sad world needs? Isn’t compassion the key to liberation which we find in the hearts of the most pure and noble of men?” Sadhu T. L. Vaswani
“The beast and the bird cannot speak to us in the language we understand. They cannot protect themselves.” Sadhu Vaswani Image: http://naturography.com
Animals of all types have a function to fulfill, to maintain ecological equilibrium. Furthermore, they also help man perform his task. (Meatless Day Book)
“For thousand of years oxen and horses have drawn the plow back and forth, cultivating fields. Birds, in addition to bringing beauty, are essential to reforestation by spreading seeds which will then germinate here and there. Fish also give their contribution by cleaning rivers and oceans of waste. Through their work, the river waters remain clean and pure permitting man to quench his thirst.” (Meatless Day Book)
“Contrary to us, animals do not complain nor refuse tasks nor demand rights. They simply do what is required. Moreover, they freely give love. Instead of killing, yelling, whipping, man should learn from the company of animals who are here to help in our evolutionary process. They are a mirror to us: they are humble, compassionate, loving and loyal. A fine example of respect for life.” (Meatless Day Book) Image: TheAtlantic.com
The Life manifested in all beings is one and the same pulsation. All that has life, feels. Like us, animals feel pain and pleasure, they suffer, love, play and raise families.” (Meatless Day Book) “All energy which flows through animals is exactly the same. This energy comes from the same Divine Source.
“Our struggle is to awake in man the duty to respect all forms of life, including his own, to make people aware of the universal love which can flow through them and see animals as equals, all walking side by side in this spiritual journey. Only man’s return to his natural state will guarantee the reestablishment of balance on Earth. And this is certainly not achieved by killing or humiliating animals.” (Meatless Day Book) Image: ZamaanOnline
“All Life is sacred. All life has its claims on every one of us. True ethics, therefore, rests on a recognition of this thought, the reverence for Life.” Sadhu Vaswani Image: National Geographic
“The human being, the animal being, the plant being. If we remove the words human, animal and plant, only being is left which is what we are and what we still don’t understand.” (Meatless Day Book) Imagem: centerpetpharmacy.blogspot.com
“It is every man’s duty to love and protect animals against the cruelty of the butcher’s knife. Hands were given to us to help and cure instead of killing; to bless instead of making war.” (Meatless Day Book) Dada J. P. Vaswani
“We should remember that life is awake and pulsing in all three kingdoms: mineral, plant and animal. The life within all is the same. It is the same pulsation of the Divine, the force that manifests all.” (Meatless Day Book)
“Therefore we are calling on all people and groups of the world to awaken to the consciouness of universal love. Let’s work together to create a positive chain, a true force for the preservation and protection of all of Nature’s kingdoms and let’s be the living voice of our little brothers: the animals.” (Meatless Day Book)
“Always keep in mind respect for all types of life and struggle for the unification of peace, compassion and love. Become the voice of those who have no voice. Remember that an animal’s pain is our pain because we can’t consider ourselves separate from them and all that suffers in the world.” (Meatless Day Book)
“With wisdom grows maitri or feeling of kinship with all life: and maitri (compassion) will be the basis of a new morality, a new culture, a new civilisation in the coming days.” Sadhu Vaswani Image: TheAtlantic.com

The conscience of humanity needs to be awakened in regard to the cruelties inflicted on dumb, defenceless creatures that are being slain in the world. This is the idea behind the Meatless Day: to initiate an awareness of reverence for all Life as a first step towards World Peace!” Dada J. P. Vaswani. Dada J. P. Vaswani
