I Am A Kindergartner!

Slide 2

I am going to Kindergarten! This is my school.

Slide 3

It is called Earl Boyles Elementary School.

Slide 4

Here is a classroom in my school. It is just for Kindergartners like me.

Slide 5

It has tables and chairs and toys and books. It also has a bathroom.

Slide 6

Here are my Kindergarten teachers, Ms. Koblasa and Ms. Casteel. They help me learn and be safe and have fun.

Slide 7

Here is the principal, Ms. Guynes. She takes care of the whole school! When I see her she smiles and says hi. I like that.

Slide 8

I come to school in the morning. I say “Good-bye” to my mom. Sometimes I feel sad when it is time to say good-bye.

Slide 9

Then mom gives me a hug and a kiss. I remember that I will see her after school. That makes me feel happy again. Now I am ready to go to my classroom.

Slide 10

My teacher tells me what we will do today. When I have a question or need help I just ask my teacher and she helps me out. I like my teacher.

Slide 11

In my classroom we are busy. I play and learn new things like how to write my own name!

Slide 12

I meet new friends at school. At first I do not know them. Then we talk and play together and now they are my friends! I feel happy to have friends at school.

Slide 13

Now my school day is done. I will go home and tell my family about the things I did at school today! I am proud to be a big Kindergartner!

Reading Ideas With Your Child Read this book with your child before and after school starts. Your child may want you to read it a lot and that is great! That is how your child learns. Answer your child’s questions about school. If you do not know the answer talk to the teachers or principal with your child. This will help your child know where to go for help at school. If mom does not drop off or pick up your child at school, put in the name of the person who does to make the book special for your child.   A Gift For Your Family Multnomah Educational Service District, Earl Boyles Elementary School and Children’s Institute ©2011
