Testimonials Joel Mislay - Player for the Ninja of Spring Hill: "In my opinion I think it’s the toughest and the best sport I’ve ever played. Because like number 1, I can apply the kicks I’ve been using in martial arts, Tae Kwon Do. I have to focus more on my stamina, not just like when working out. And also, it kind of tough, you’re not only concentrating, like in basketball, you’re not only concentrating on the ball. You need to watch your back, also. I think it will be a popular sport one day."

Slide 15

Testimonials Mark Koster Referee: "Officiating comBATON is similar in a lot of respects to football and Tae Kwon Do point sparring. The equipment is fairly easy to use and fairly inexpensive. So anybody can pretty much start up a team, if they want to."

Slide 38

The Teams Bow In At The Beginning of Every Game Takes Place in Center of Field (also used for the fight off)

Slide 39

Teams will retreat to opposite 7 meter lines There is no kick off, you start with the baton in hand When the whistle sounds you move toward the goal, this is called the opening attack. Object is to score, or get to the opposite 7 meter line

Slide 40

Scoring on a opening attack If you make it to the kick stick and score, your team will receive points. After resetting the field, the other team will take possession of the baton from their 7 meter line, and try to score on your goal.

Slide 41

Slide 47

Throwing the Baton

Slide 48

Baton hits the floor If no player touches it, the play is dead If someone touches it before it hits the floor, it’s live. Pick it up and try to score! You can recover it by lying on on it and waiting for a defensive player to touch you You can make a play It’s the same as a fumble in the NFL

Slide 49

Blocking for the Shooter (Baton Holder) You can kick or punch anyone, anytime during the play, even if they don’t have the baton. Try to create a opening or lane so they can score. Experiment with different formations
