Sure it might help to post some reviews on your website from customers a few years back. It shows not only that you've been in business for a while, but that you continue to provide a high level of success through the years.

Throw in a review form that they can fill out right then and there, or mail back to you. If you are pushing for online customer reviews, mention posting one online or on your website.

If you don't want to ask for a review right after work is complete for whatever reason, try not to wait too long. Your services may consume a good deal of your life, but chances are they don't consume much of your customers' lives. Once the service is done, they likely forget about it until they need the service again.

Don't be get down on yourself or your company by a bad review here and there. If they become overwhelming, you have a problem. But think of the occasional bad review as an chance to win their trust back.
