Leon’s Social Studies Presentation

Introduction This project is my final keynote for out Social Studies. I did this power point by my self,and I tried hard on it. I am going to talk about a famous explorer called Juan Ponce de Leon. Motivation Motivation is something that causes people to do something to achieve things like Fame, wealth and other things.

Explorer Motivation So when a explorer goes to a adventure that person needs to have a motivation. You don’t know maybe that person wanted to be rich, famous or even forced to go (Like Neil Armstrong) Many europeans went to explore the new land (North America) or to trade goods with other countries. Forced to Go $Wealth$ Conquer FAME!

Juan Ponce de Leon’s Motivation Juan ponce de leons motivation was that he wanted to be Rich! He was born in a poor family so he wanted to be rich and wealthy and get the things he was dreaming of Juan Ponce 1474: Juan ponce de Leon was born 1490: Fought for the Spanish Army 1493: Joined Christopher Colombus on his 2nd voyage to the new world. 1502: Assigned the task of crushing the native americans 1505: Ponce established a new town in Higuey and named it Salvaleon 1521:He finds Florida I really want to be rich

Technology Technology is a tool that explorers used to navigate, transport and many other things. Technology is one of the most important thing you need on a long voyage.

Explorer Technology Many Explorers use different technology. People that climb mountains have walki tokies and stuff. But people that solo sail around the world need a boat. There is different types of technology for different types of adventures. Mountain Technology Sailing Technology

Technology Used to Sail Juan ponce de Leon most likely used a boat and a compass on all of his journey's. Compass and Boat

Impact Impact is when an explorer does something and makes the world not the same forever.

Explores impact Many explorers made different types of impacts. I wonder what type of Impact I am going to make. The impact to many europeans when Christopher Colombus found the new world that is that now they can get different types of spices food and they get more slaves and make them work

Juan Ponce’s Impact JUAN PONCE DE LEON’S IMPACT WAS THAT WHEN HE FOUND FLORIDA HE FOUND DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLOWERS EUROPE DIDN’T HAVE. Juan ponce de Leon found me!
