Motivation Motivation is what drives someone to do something. An example of motivation is if you don’t do your homework you do not get to go to recess. So the motivation here is recess.

Explorer Motivations This is a list of explorers motivations. Some of the European explorers motivations were to spread christianity. But some other explorers motivations were money, fame, and even to just find out more about the world. Religion Wealth Knowledge

Ferdinand Magellan’s Motivation For Exploration Ferdinand Magellan’s motivation was to try and reach southeast Asia where many spices grew. By sailing westwards across the Atlantic ocean because if he were to sail down south through the north Atlantic ocean he would get killed by the Spaniards. Because they would not want him to get spices. Spices Some people say that Ferdinand Magellan was the first person to circle the world but, he did not quite make it because he died in the Philippines in 1521.

Explorer Technology One commonly used technology is the compass. It helps you find where north, south, east and west are. Another useful piece of technology is a carvel. It is a small and highly maneuverable ship. That is the caravel That is a compass

Technology used by Explorers A commonly used piece of technology is the GPS. It is really useful because it tells you where you are, what time it is, and how long it is going to take to get to your destination. Did you know that GPS actually stands for global positioning system? GPS’ are usually used in cars, boats, planes and lately even just for walking around.

Explorer Impact Henry Hudson made a big impact by way of finding more bodies of water and land. He also encouraged more English men to find more land and settle there. This is the body of water that Henry Hudson found.

Christopher Columbus' impact Christopher Columbus’ impact was big. He was the first European person to find a continent. And not only that, he gave Europe so much more food because some food were only grown in America and not in Europe. The continent chris found Could you imagine Belgium without chocolate? Chocolate did not come from Europe instead it came from America. So if Christopher Columbus was not alive Belgium would not be famous for chocolate.
