When Tech Fails…. One Second After by William R. Forstchen Without Warning by John Birmingham
Welcome to CED0510 Class 6 All over now….
I’m almost done… For most of you this class is over. All the work is in and graded. I have a few loose ends. I will turn grades in on Wednesday or Thursday. The Angel systems will be worked on for the next few days if something doesn’t work right, give them a bit of time to fix it.
This has been fun for me… You are a great group. You do your work well You seldom ask questions that I can’t answer You help each other. When you ask a question you don’t seem angry you seem inquisitive. (not usually the case) I feel as though I have gotten to know many of you.
Nuts and Bolts Keep track of the projects that you have done so you can access them later. Remember what you learned, even go so far as to write yourself a little narrative at the end of each course so you can recall what you learned and how you felt. (You will need it in 555) I hope to see all of you again near the end in CEd0555. In that course you will need the projects and reflections from earlier courses.

Next Class CEd0515 Using Productivity Tools Effectively Everyone knows how to word process – or do they? Research indicates that even a frequent user of one of today’s sophisticated productivity applications (wordprocessing, spreadsheet, presentation tools) uses only about 10% of the available features. The intent of this course is to help participants learn to use these tools to a significantly deeper level in order to become more efficient users and more effective communicators.
I hope this class has… Added to your personal knowledge bank. Given you the knowledge to learn more. Made you a better consumer and user of technology. Increased you confidence in the field of technology. Given you pause to think, and time to learn on your own. Not interfered with you family life too much.
I’ve spent a lifetime learning I often felt I shortchanged my kids when I was constantly in class either as a professor or as a student. I’ve asked them what it was like? They remember us all doing homework together… Me too! As parents, and as teacher, we hope to build people who possess a love of learning and a spark that causes them to want to learn. I hope I have helped.
There was a point in time… When a person could know a lot about this technology field because there was not much to know. Things didn’t change and when they did it took time. Today the pace of technology change is so fast that decisions need to made on intuition and knowledge. Most of all, use your imagination… It will help you predict the future
Most Important….
Don’t Blink…
Don’t Blink… You might miss the future….
