TREND Community Gives Back A Look at Our Members’ Charitable Contributions During Fall 2011

Through their dedication to service, local real estate professionals give back to the areas they serve. Here’s a recap of charitable work by the following organizations: Bucks County Association of REALTORS® Mercer County Association of REALTORS® Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®

Bucks BCAR participated in PAR’s REALTORS® Reach-Out in October through several activities including, clean-up at 2 homeless shelters and holding a Halloween party for the kids in the shelters

BCAR members gathered on October 17 at the BC Housing Group Homeless Shelter in Doylestown to do fall clean up and mulch the gardens.

BCAR members also did fall clean up at the Bucks County Housing Group's Penndel Homeless Shelter & Food Bank on October 18. It was a small group but a lot was accomplished!

A children’s Halloween party was held at the Bucks County Housing Group Homeless Shelter in Doylestown. Coldwell Banker Hearthside Doylestown agents provided snacks, games, crafts & goodies, and the pizza was provided by BCAR.

Mercer Mercer members held Thanksgiving basket drive for the American Red Cross of Central Jersey, benefitting the Family Assistance Center of the NJ National Guard and the HomeFront program.

Montgomery County In conjunction with PAR’s REALTORS® Reach-Out initiative, MCAR members teamed up to support the Family Services of Montgomery County’s Foster Grandparent Program with a week-long paint party at six designated locations

October 10-14, volunteers from MCAR painted various Foster Grandparent Volunteer Stations at local child care centers, elementary schools, Head Start Programs and alternative schools

Slide 11

The freshly painted Foster Grandparent Volunteer Stations are used by seniors to provide academic & emotional support to children who have been abused, have physical or developmental disabilities, or need additional assistance.

Summary: This Fall, many TREND members took time out of their busy schedules to help give back to the their communities by participating in various charitable events, many of which were in conjunction with PAR’s REALTORS® Reach-Out initiative in October.
