Fishing Fishing has been at our island forever. Some of industries are lobster fishing and herring fishing. There is some halibut and scalloping. Also there is salmon harvesting and sea urchin diving too.

Things to do For fun you can go to Campobello’s Roosevelt's summer home or you can hike one of the many trails or in the summer you can go whale watching and get a lot of sea glass. Our main colors are brown, clear, green, and on some beaches blue is also.

FDR ‘s wanderings as a kid Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States of America. He had a summer home on the island and came every summer. As a kid he went to Southern Head beach with Tomah Joseph.

Campgrounds and Parks For campgrounds and parks we have Herring Cove Campground, Herring Cove Provincial Park and Roosevelt's International Park. Roosevelt’s has both workers from U.S.A and from Canada. Herring Cove Park and Campground has workers from only Canada.

Municipal Services For Municipal services we have a Fire Department, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Paramedic services and Road crews.
