Slide 38

Conclusions Coronary interventions are increasing each year The estimated percentage increase in 2010 was 24.33% There is trend of smaller centres coming up across India and medium volume centres are moving upwards. Around 40% of procedures are performed by larger volume centers. The percentage of interventions in old age group people has increased where as intervention in patient age less than 40 is more or less same. Radial approach had downward trends in last year. Coronary Intervention Data for the year 2010

Slide 39

Conclusions Percentage of Drug eluting stents has increased in last year. It could be due to less costlier stents available in the market?. Instance of Sub Acute Thrombosis has increased in last year. Percentage of Acute MI interventions has marginally increased.. Procedure approach in Acute MI interventions shows Femoral is still preferred choice in Primary PCI. GP2B 3A Use in AMI has decreased significantly. Use of IVUS has significantly increased. Mortality rate in low volume centers is 5 time of larger volume centers. Coronary Intervention Data for the year 2010

Suggestion for Improvement of Registry There should be comparative analysis reports sent back to participating centers to help them improve their practice. Encourage all the cath-centers to maintain clinical data for each patient on paper / softwares. Encourage all the cath-labs to actively participate in Prospective National Registry. All Cath Labs should use clinical data management software's in the Cath Labs to maintain data on daily basis. Continuously upgrading the list of all the cath labs specially of the newer centers.
