Born June 6,1841 in Mikowszczyźnie. He died and May 18, 1910 in Grodno. Polish novelist era of positivism.

CHILDHOOD She was born as Elizabeth Pavlovsk, the younger daughter of a lawyer Benedict and Francis of Pawlowski Kamien, his second wife.     Soon began to manifest literary talent, a lot of reading and writing stories. In 1852, eleven year old Eliza, accompanied by his grandmother, went to Warsaw after the study.

Nominations for the Nobel Prize in Literature Twice in 1904-1909 was presented to her candidacy for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Alexander declared her candidacy Bruckner, former professor at the University of Berlin. The candidacy was supported by Alfred Jensen, who studies on her work put her in some respects even superior to Henry Sienkiewicz.

Food death Eliza Orzeszkowa grave in a Catholic parish cemetery, known as the parish in Grodno. After a severe heart condition Orzeszkowa Eliza died. Because we do not go to church, Fr. Pastor Julius Ellert refused her funeral Only after the intervention of the bishop, was buried in Grodno, May 23, 1910, memorial service, during which the friend and confessor priest Stanisław Orzeszkowej University, in Grodno parish church gave a speech.
