The flipped classroom By Mayra Karely Miranda Salcido
Was created by Aaron Sams and John Bergmann with the intention of increase the personal time with each student.
As a teacher this means that instead of use the class time to explain something, the teacher use a video to explain it and then in the classroom students do an activity based on what they saw. As a student, they are responsible for their own learning.
These videos take the place of the common lessons and what used to be homework is now done in class. From this To this
we can save a lot of time and use it to reinforce knowledge with activities Advantages students can review parts of the lecture if there is something that they don’t understand students have control over the media they can rewind, pause, etc.
students watch lectures at home at their own place if a student gets sick, he will not be left behind
disAdvantages The only disadvantage that I can think is that not all the students have access to a computer or internet.
Definitely I would like to use it because is something new, different, interesting and mostly because it seems that is really helpful. However in this moment I think that is not possible because where I work most of the students don’t have a computer, and they are too young.
