Looking back at my preliminary task, I was very much a beginner when it came to uploading, and working on magazines. I had worked on magazines in GCSE’s but wasn’t very confident in using some of the software such as photo shop. I was getting used to how to upload my work on to Yola and I knew some of the basics. Since then, I have learnt a substantial amount about the technology, and the use of different media and websites in the few months that I have been working on my media product. I have learnt how to use photo shop, not completely but better than before. I know far more than I did before, just like Yola and Slide boom. I was unsure of how the site Slide boom linked to Yola, but now I know that it links perfectly together, I did my work on Power point, upload it on to Slide boom, copy the embed link and past it in to the embed section of Yola and I was done. I have learnt that Prezi and Vimeo are also great websites that edit, help me to upload, and to do my work. I wouldn’t have dreamt experimenting with all these websites, media and technology back in the preliminary task as I would be too worried I would mess up and lose my work, along with not being confident. However, with a bit of practice, confidence and experimenting, I came a long way, and I believe I have improved a lot since my preliminary task.
