Forming Better Links Forming strong links between school and home is important. Children learn better when parents are involved One on one attention helps retain information. Ideas are presented so children will be interested.

Homework Homework teaches children that what they learn in class also works at home. Homework shows the child that parents want to be involved. Parents gather an understanding of how the child is learning. Homework shows parents what is being learnt in class at that time.

Volunteering Volunteer programs benefit both parents and the school Parents helping in reading groups provides focused attention Volunteering at school helps boost children's self esteem Helping in the canteen boosts schools funds and connects the parents with the school.

Extra curricular activities Being involved in sport activities to connect with the school. Team events show children support in the educational setting. Involvement with P&C fundraisers provide much needed financial support for schools. Events can be outside of regular working hours to accommodate working parents.
