Jesus asked two of his disciples to go ahead of Him. He said, "When you get to the town, you will see a donkey tied up. Untie it, and bring it to me. If anyone asks you about taking the donkey, just tell them, 'The Lord needs it and He will bring it back as soon as He's done with it.'" So the disciples did as Jesus asked. They soon found the donkey tied at a doorway. When they brought the donkey to Jesus some of the disciples took off their coats and laid them on the donkey's back. Then Jesus rode on the donkey towards Jerusalem.
How far did the two disciples have to travel to get the donkey? The Town outside of Jerusalem is called Suba which is 10 km/6.2 Miles West Jerusalem It took the two disciples 10km/6.2 miles to walk from Suba to Jerusalem. If they walked at 5 miles per hour it would of taken the disciples 2 hours to get to Jerusalem. For the disciples to walk from Suba to Jerusalem back to Suba then back to Jerusalem it would be 30km/18.6 miles. It would of taken the disciples 6 hours to complete their journey
Suba Jerusalem 10km/6.2 Miles – one way 30km/ 18.6 Miles – all together
Jesus was made to carry the cross out of the city gates and up to Golgotha hill. On the way some of the crowd cheered, others wept. On top of the hill Jesus was put on the cross and nails were put through his hands and feet. The cross was raised up.
How long did it take to get from the city to Golgotha hill? From the city to Golgotha hill it was ½ Mile Which is.. 0.8Km, 2640 feet, 804.6 Meters
What were the measurements of the cross? The cross would have been 4 meters in height by 2.5 meters in width The cross would have to be bigger than Jesus, Jesus’ height would have been around 6ft.
Thank You
