How I want my students to view me… I want my future students to view me as the crazy Social Studies/Language Arts teacher. I want my students to see me as creative and passionate about what I teach. I want my students to view me as someone that is fair, understands them, and actually does care about their success.

Teaching Assignment I would like a teaching assignment in either 5th or 6th grade. I have done a fair amount of substitute teaching and this is an age group that I feel I can have the most fun with. However, there are times that when I teach high school that I feel I will more than likely move from MCE to AYA.

Concerns A chief concern that I have about the teaching profession is an increase of “teaching to the test.” Standards in my opinion are like guideposts and they show us the minimum that should be covered. There is also a concern as I see teachers being made out as what is wrong with “THE SYSTEM”when students do not perform as expected on standardized testing.
