About Miss Bauer I have had dreams of becoming a teacher since I was in the second grade I graduated from Centennial High school in 2010 I am earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at BSU I love animals I am recently engaged I am related to Calamity Jane I have French, Irish, and German heritage

My Teaching Goals I would like to teach third grade I prefer to teach in the Meridian or Boise School District I plan to start substituting as a part-time job in my professional year at BSU I would like to begin to make lesson plans for my future classroom I plan to create a website to keep electronic hard copies of all my lesson plans

Role of Technology As technology is bound to rule our present and future, it is good to obtain knowledge of technology early on. Children learn faster and can adapt to changes relatively easily. If they are trained during their school years, they have high chances of becoming experts in technology. An early beginning is always beneficial in the long run. Instead of seeing them struggle with learning later in life, it is advisable to give them a basic idea of the technological reforms.

Technology Use in my Classroom I will use technology to email and communicate with staff and administration I will create a website for parents and students to go on at any time where I will have homework assignments, the newsletter of the week, my contact Information, a calendar with events, the daily schedule, birthdays, third grade standards, articles for parents to view, class supplies, A.R. Goals, pictures of the class, a link to the library page, internet projects, etc. that will constantly be updated

Word Processing I plan to create brochures, newsletters, illustrated stories, etc. I will print final copies or post them to my class Website I will have my students create stories and then I will write comments on their rough draft work and provide feedback to my young authors without lifting a pen Since writing evolves, I will show my students how their work has changed throughout the year. I will keep every student’s rough drafts and final drafts I will spice up my word documents by inserting attention-grabbing graphics. I plan to include tables, visual organizers, images, spreadsheets, AutoShapes, animated objects, symbols, etc. I will make my documents interactive. Telecommunications I will use the internet and email for communicating with students and parents I will create blogs that the students can go on to view the various project guidelines I will have internet projects for the students to do with a group. There is also a wide grade-range. http://www.lessonplans.ws/ This is a great website for lesson plans. It not only gives some good lesson plans, but it shows how to create lesson plans and states their importance as well. http://www.totally3rdgrade.com/ This website has a lot of fun songs for 3rd graders to learn to help them remember important material. It also has worksheets, flashcards, and study guides
