Pre-Production By Jessica Ribeiro

Slide 2

What is Pre-Production Pre-production is the phase of further developing ideas and planning prior to the process of production. In a live action movie sense it is the period before filming starts. In an animation sense it is the period before any real animating takes place. Like all great projects the success is in the planning. This section gives an overview of the different steps involved in the Pre-production process and how each step helps to develop a 'roadmap' on which to base the further production stages. Although there is a general sequence of events to Pre-production it's normal for the various stages to be revisited more than once. This is because each stage may either reveal a flaw in the work to date or highlight how an aspect of the project could be further developed. Having the insight, discipline and patience to recognize and make changes when appropriate is a key quality for anyone working with animation. Name of the company Starlet Records

Why chose Starlet Records Why chose the name Starlet Records? We have called our music label starlet records because it has the meaning of a small star which is what we are looking to sign. We are a small corporate label and are looking to bring a new style to the music industry. We will take risks to achieve interesting and unique shots to make our music videos exciting and appealing for your entertainment. We will not record any certain types of genres, we will use anything form pop to rock and R&B to jazz etc. We will be more than willing to take risks to get the shots and scenes you want!

Job roles Jessica Ribeiro (The Director) The director is in control of the whole production team - whether that be for a movie, TV program or any other dramatic compositions - however the whole crew must be happy with the decisions made. It does exactly what it says on the tin and, well, directs everyone. (The Producer) A Producer sets the situation for the production of a television show or movie. A film Producer initiates, coordinates, supervises and controls all aspects of a production, from fundraising and hiring key personnel, to arranging for distributors. The Producer sees the project through to the end, from development to completion. Traditionally, the film Producer is considered the chief of staff while the director is in charge of the line. Jennie Potts ( The Camera Operator) A Camera Operator works with digital, electronic and film cameras in multi and single camera operational conditions, producing pictures for directors by combining the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. The work is based in either a studio, where the Camera Operator usually follows a camera script (which gives the order of shots practiced at rehearsal and is cued by the director during recording) or on location, where there is likely to be more opportunity for creativity.(The Editor) Film Editors assemble footage of feature films, television shows, documentaries, and industrials into a seamless end product. They manipulate plot, score, sound, and graphics to refine the overall story into a continuous and enjoyable whole. On some films, the film Editor is chosen before cast members and script doctors; people in Hollywood recognize that the skills of a good film Editor can save a middling film. In the same way directors use certain actors they appreciate over and over again
