1ST Researched Artist Sam Taylor Sam Taylor is an unsigned musician featured on ‘Unsigned.com’. Unsigned.com is a website of which promotes aspiring musicians and bands so performance can become of a big structure each time, and an increase in fans occurs, or ‘popularity’. Sam has a brief biography regarding himself, and his interest in specific tempos, instruments, and the genre of music of which he proceeds to play to date. It is seen as followed ; “I write songs inspired by the intricate workings of my mind, and what comes out of life. I write honest songs about life experience, and what’s important to me, I don’t want for much, just appreciation.” It’s clear that Sam is very involved in music, and is a very deep and meaningful writer, because of this, we contemplated using him for our chosen artist, although because Sam is an up and coming artist, he does not yet have much written on his profile therefore we could not establish whether or not his music is to one of which we ‘Starlet Records’ want to represent. 2nd Researched Artist Carl Hauck Carl Hauck is another ‘unsigned artist’ discovered on Unsigned.com. He is an; Acoustic, Folk, and Experimental player who. He claims that he experiments with ‘new and old’ sounds, to see what story he can put across and whether he can connect with his listeners/fans. Because of his approach towards the music industry and how he fights to successfully create a sound of which is ‘bliss to the ears’ we chose him for a possible ‘contestant’ for our chosen artist. He appears to be quite a reserved and mellow artist, but his work so far, (even though un-signed) Seems to have a very positive effect on his listeners. Official reviews are as followed; “Original yet has a modern ‘Simon feel’.” “Very nice!” “Your stuff is simply beautiful! So relaxing, and relatable. Keep it up!” These are ordinary members of Unsigned.com giving heir opinion of which know what they’re talking about as they themselves, are fellow aspiring musicians. Carl’s work is not for everyone, but personally, I find his music beautifully crafted. It’s very soft, and easy to the ears, his voice is enchanting, and each written song seems to have passion, and soul put into it. 3rd Researched Artist Emma Kaal Emma Kaal is an un-signed aspiring solo artist who regularly uploads short clips of herself singing on the popular networking site ‘Face book’. Emma is highly involved in the ‘Blues’ or ‘Soul’ genre of music, therefore she looks up to such artists as; Adele, and Birdy a lot, therefore influencing how, and what she writes, and even the tone of which she sings in. Emma has performances so far on a small scale so far, building the strength in her voice to put across a greater impact, her most greatest achievement to date was performing a cover of ‘Adele – Someone Like You’ to a large scale of 6th form students, in her recent departure from high school education. Emma is a close friend of mine, and in personal opinion, I think her voice is utterly stunning. Opinions may differ, but it seems that a lot of whom Emma sings too is transfixed by the sound of her voice. Artist Analysis Sam Taylor Carl Hauck Emma Kaal As there are thousands of one un-signed artists out there that have the potential to be spectacular musicians, it was naturally very difficult for myself and my group to settle on one final artist of which we would we proud to say is representing our company. However, after assessing the tone of which we want to sell to the public, and the message we want to put across, we in the end settled on an artist that we are to date, very happy with, and feel that we could not of made a better decision.

Chosen Artist Emma Kaal The artist we have chosen in order to represent ‘Starlet Records’ is Emma Kaal. Fantastic reviews from fellow friends of Emma’s, and ordinary public members further confirmed our approach towards choosing Emma, as there is no doubt that Emma’s voice is not beautiful. We feel that Emma could send a positive message with the music she perceives to write, and think that her voice could define the tone in which we want a company to have. We do not have any second thoughts with choosing Emma, and believe that we will go far with her in future projects we wish to act upon. We thank you in advance for the appreciation of Emma’s tone representing our company, and hope that you accept it, and further tasks we plan to create involving Emma throughout.
