Walk to Work Week 2009 - take part and feel the benefits
Easy as 1, 2, 3 … Create your workplace profile on the Walk to Work Week micro-site by 6pm on Friday 24 April 09 Encourage all your employees to create their own personal profiles by 6pm on Friday 24 April 09, and link to your workplace profile 27 April – the microsite goes live and challenges commence! Mid May – you’ll get a report via email with your workplace results
Step 1 Create your workplace profile at www.walkingworks.org.uk/walk-to-work-week It’s free, easy and should take you two minutes If you have multiple sites, you will need to create separate profiles with separate email addresses for each site. You can denote site names in the workplace title, e.g. Living Streets Newcastle, Living Streets London.
Step 2 Make sure all your employees create a profile by 6pm on 24 April 09 at www.walkingworks.org.uk/walk-to-work-week It’s free, easy and will take them two minutes too! Visit www.walkingworks.org.uk/walk-to-work-week-resources for graphics, images and background info that you can use to communicate Walk to Work Week
Step 3 Keep plugging until 24 April 09!
What happens next?
Step 4 Anyone who created a profile on the micro-site will receive an email on Monday 27 April to tell them their profile is live The Walk to Work Week challenge commences! Employees can enter how much they walked between Mon 27 April and Friday 1 May

The challenges – a reminder How the challenges work: We’ve set five challenges to inspire employeers, and it’s up to them how many they take part in. They can do one, two or them all – or fit walking into your week in their own special way! There are fantastic prizes to be won: Do all five challenges and employees will be entered into our overall prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher. And for each challenge that they take part in, they’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of MBT shoes worth £150, with Chelsea Flower Show tickets for the runners up. That’s six chances to win! Workplace prizes: We’ll enter every workplace that takes part into a prize draw to win a workplace breakfast hamper too.
