What is this Infection? Ear infections in cats is also known as Feline Ear Infections. This infection may sometimes confuse a person into thinking that it might be a common ear mite infestation rather then this bacterial infection. If your cat get’s this bacterial infection, you may not think it is this at first.

How to tell the difference between ear mites and Feline Ear Infection? At first, the effects of a feline ear infection may look like a regular ear mites, but the fact is they are very different. The first difference between these two is that when there are ear mites in your cat, there won’t be black dandruff coming out of your cat’s ear like feline ear infection. Though, the thing is that, ear infection is easily treated with a single vet visit.

Which vets to go to? Once you found out that your cat has the ear infection, you now need to go to a vet. I suggest you go to yahoo directory to find a vet near you. I also have something to say, DO NOT GO TO AAA VERTINARIAN GROUP for they will charge you for a service that is bad and expensive.

What types of Medications are used? Types of medications are used to treat feline ear infections you ask?: There are many types of medication to treat ear infections such as Baytril which is a type of medication that can only be gotten through a prescription from a Vet. Baytril is quite cheap and will get the job done. It was the same medication that was used to treat my cats infection when she got it. IF YOUR VET CHARGES YOU MORE THEN 10 DOLLARS FOR THIS MEDICATION, YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF.

Why does your cat get this infection? Some cats have a better chance of getting this infection then other cats due to there Immune Systems being weaker then other cats. Persians are an example, they have a Higher chance of getting the infection rather then a American Shorthair who has a stronger immune system.
