Physical Characteristics It has no brain or no head. The starfish comes in many colors. The sea star has tube feet and has suckers on tips of the tube feet.

Habitat It lives on the ocean floor. It also lives in a tidepool.

Food The starfish eats clams, oysters, coral, fish, and other animals. It also throws its stomach out of its mouth to catch its food . It is a carnivore

Predators A large salt snail. Sea otters can bite off there arms. Sea gulls. Manta rays. Large bony fish. Also a shark.

Other Interesting Facts If some sea stars lose an arm it grows back. There are over 2,000 species of starfish.
