We are Teacher Librarians Our goals for eBooks just a little different from the average reader Leisure reading or exploration Assigned reading research

We must consider… How will the eBook be accessed? OPAC Included in a Database Just a designated link From a Cd-ROM and needs downloading

Next what technology will our reader use? Desk top Laptop or netbook – WiFi? MP3 iPod Kindle or designated book reader Phone Today’s reader has many options

Cost and maintenance of eBooks…? an outright purchase An outright purchase with a hosting fee Site license for a fixed time Single access or multiple access subscription Remember even eBooks need weeding
