WELCOME to This is presentation 3.3 on features of 5 safety which shows that many times 7.7 a slide leads to an accident. I am the narrator. I will introduce you to the participants.
Hello everyone, I am mannie. I am a person of many parts. The mr big DP said I would need all my parts in these demonstrations I am to do for you but that the acting is simple work that doesn’t need preparation. 13.5 I am fixer I am big dP’s fixing agent. If anything needs doing, I make sure it is done. 22.5 Big DP - remember this production is on a shoe string budget so give the first take all you’ve got. Come and get your directions for the first event. That’s mr big DP, so let us see what is in store.
The purpose of this presentation is to show you how to avoid certain accidents 6.8 by thinking what you are going to do and 9.6 preparing beforehand so that 12.2 everyone knows there role in work to be carried out. 16 only then
First if you are walking along and 3.4 you slip, 4.9 slide then 6.3 boom, you crash down and hurt yourself.
When walking 2 test the surface to find out sliperiness of the surface. If it is slippery take 7.1 walk flat footed and 8.9 also take shorter steps.
We now have a demonstration of sliding across ice. 5.4 Fixer assists Mannie. 7.2
Mannie enjoyed that 2.4 so fixer helps mannie again. 4.8
Oooh!!! 2.2 Cut. Mannie, Pull yourself together. Next scene- let’s go 5.8
Many accidents occur because someone relied on another person. 5.7 Most people are most responsible to themselves. 9.8 If you don’t know what you are to do find out and keep asking questions until you are satisfied you understand completely. 18.9 Your life might depend on it.
This is a conveyor and material may fall off if there is a problem. 6.2 Now parts of the conveyors are way up high 9.5 and if you work below it is not easy to see what is happening unless you keep your eyes and ears open. 17.3 if the material falls it makes a heap where it falls. 22.2 Wow! You were lucky that time. 25.6 It should learn you to be more careful…… 28.2 oops!! Not so lucky this time. 32.2 31.4 For the rest of you 32.6 keep your eyes open all the time above you as well as at ground level. 38.4 Cut!! Fixer get mannie out and pulled back together ready for the next scene. 42.4
Big dp – fixer pick up the ladder and place it 5 rows from top of wall. Put your foot at the bottom of the ladder so Mannie can climb up. but when I tell you, disappear and do it quick. 11.5 Fixer okay big dp
Fixer put the ladder against the wall 5 bricks from the top. 4.5
When working with a ladder, 2.7 always make sure the feet of the ladder stand on a level surface. 7.3 Position the ladder a third of its length away from a wall. Not too high, not too low. 13.6 There must always be a person to hold the base of the ladder so that it cannot move. 18.8 Before starting any work each person must know what they have to do in all situations. And very importantly, 27.3 if any conditions change come down the ladder immediately.
As you have seen from this presentation, 3.3 Mannie is very special for no matter what happens to him 7.5 he can put himself back together. 10.1 On the other hand if 11.4 you have an accident the best you can hope for 15.4 is the medical personnel to heal you. But 19.1 on the other hand 20.6 it might be the end.
