A library can be a scary place if you don’t know how to locate information. You will learn how to use the online card catalog, databases, and links to help you find what you need.

Getting Started Before we begin, you need to learn how to login on the computer. To begin, press, the Control, Alt, and Delete buttons on your keypad.

Logging in Below are the username and password you need to log in: Username: student Password: tiger

Library resources folder On the desktop of the computer, there is a folder that says, “Library Resources”. Double click on the folder. It will take you to numerous resources to use.

Online catalog Let’s find the online catalog for A&M Consolidated. Use these steps: Find and click on the high school catalog link at the top of the resources page Look for Welcome to the Jungle Click on the Catalog tab

Catalog Now, look carefully at how you can search for books. You’re on basic search which lets you search by Author Title Subject

Types of searches Types of Searches Basic is a simple, easy way to locate books. Power allows you to do a more extensive search. Visual has picture categories to help with search. Copy Categories offers a list of subjects with the amount of books located in the library. Number allows you to locate a book by its call number.
